Horse Camps

Nature is FUN at a Horse Camp for teenagers. This summer, why not let your child's natural curiosity for nature and the environment be discovered at horse camp near you.

Our horse camps feature many horses for those that attend our campes, ranging from experienced A circuit show horses, to seasoned beginner ponies. Most of the horses on a good horse camp are active in equestrian programs throughout the year.

the equestrian staff should be qualified to teach a wide range of riders. Young beginners play mounted games and get to learn all about their favorite horses, while others may learn to post the trot, or canter or jump. More advanced riders may get to jump through gymnastics or over natural obstacles.

On creative summer equestrian riding camp programs the orgnisers will be expected to provide extensive riding and lesson time during the camp. Days are filled with horse activities geared toward developing riders into accomplished horsewomen and Horsemen.

Many camps teach those attending, the responsibilities of managing the daily care of your horse. Riding lessons by top professional instructors develop balance and coordination in their students / and trainees. Mastering control over a 1,000 pound animal definitely improves self confidence. The daily responsibility of chores will teach you the skills needed to care and manage your own horse. Instructions are given in all areas of western and English horsemanship including reigning, and tacking up, trail riding, pole bending, jumping, cross country, and even learning, on some camps, how to drive a pony and cart.

Groom, Feed, and Ride the same horse your entire stay. Instruction is also given in Flat, Equitation, Dressage, Jumping, Cross-Country. Western lessons also offered: games, rodeo, reining and trail, at some riding schools. Enjoy overnight trail rides, white water rafting, theme parks and the great outdoors.

More and more people and horses are taking to the trails to discover and enjoy the wildlands of the world.

Natural Horsemanship (NH), sometimes called Horse Whispering is taught at some establishments. From studying with and learning from a great many natural horsemanship masters, and practicing NH in the training of hundreds of horses for many years, I have honed a training philosophy that is simple: horse handling and riding should be safe and enjoyable, and horse training should be gentle, but effective. Learning from all the great NH trainers has created in my training repertoire a large, effective collection of Natural Horsemanship training techniques to refer to in helping horse owners solve any horse problem.

Horse Camps cater to the young and the young at heart. Enjoy competing at Regional and National Horse Shows during the show season. Lessons are given on a daily basis in all disciplines. Lessons are available to adults and children starting at 7 years old. Horse Camps are available in Summer, Winter and Spring. Camps filled with riding, horse activities, swimming and crafts are a long standing favorite with children and adults alike.
